What You Can Expect

As you’ve likely figure out, I see divorce as a potentially transformational event, an opportunity to free yourself from roles and beliefs that no longer fit. I want to make sure I’m the right person for you, and that this is the right time.

If you’ve been stalled in your quest to embrace your new status as a solo woman, and are looking for guidance to complete the journey, we could be a good fit.

I know what it’s like to release yourself from status “married” at a time in your life that many would consider it foolish. “Why not just stick it out?” they wonder. Except you’re starting over. You’re likely surprised to discover that you feel more vulnerable than you thought you would. You might wonder, “Will I ever be okay again?” Yes, you will. And you’ll be forever changed.

  • The means to establish financial confidence, and forge a new path forward.
  • Someone who understands the unwanted effects of internalized ageism, and solo shaming, the unkind messages that say you’re too old and it’s too late.
  • A pathway to unlearn who and what you were told to be, do and want so that you’re free to live life as yourself… no matter what friends or family might say.
  • Assistance with navigating shifting friendships that often accompanies uncoupling.
  • How to get the help you need when you’re always-there-person is no longer at your side.
  • An approach to decision-making that taps into your body’s innate intelligence when confusion and doubt arise.
  • A sounding board for the harder decisions that are now your responsibility.
  • A safe space for you to explore life events that are personal and sensitive.
  • The legalities of divorce and spousal support.
  • I won’t participate in villainizing your former spouse.
  • I won’t help you start dating again. This work is about you with you.

Although I can go with you into the ‘darker places’ with you, I’m not a trained therapist. If you need therapeutic support, the two can work well together.

  • Even if you’re not there yet, do you believe that a woman on her own, no matter her age, can live a full, rich life? Is this what you want for yourself – at least for now?
  • Are you an outlier at heart? (You might only be discovering this now.)
  • Do you have an inkling that you have more work to do in the world, and that this time is for that?

Having stepped outside the containter of married life, do you feel something slowly coming alive in you – like you’re finally coming home to yourself? It can feel uncertain, even frightening, I know. But does it also feel like truth?

  • This coaching program includes journaling, with prompts, and suggested reading.
  • Are you open to reflecting on your relationship patterns, behavior and expectations?

We’ll be looking at family and societal conditioning patterns, and personal insecurities that may have driven you in the past. You may experience discomfort at times. Do you have a practice to support you when this happens? (If not, we can address that.)

The subtext of my work with clients includes these life-giving foundations.

Kind Words and Acknowledgements

  • The big change for me in working with Raven was a re-orientation. I was assuming I had to do what everyone else does – but I COULD NOT do what everyone else does! Raven’s work started with a reality check, what do I need for my health and my soul? From there we established what was possible, what could realistically work for me- and we built it.

  • Raven, you’re a model for self expression, exploration, taking risks, and claiming one’s new place in life. This is what is needed to be a writer, a painter, a musician, a philosopher, and explorer… I see you willing to leave what you know and venture into the unknown for you don’t know what.
In this way you embody the life force for me.
