Hi, I’m Raven

I work with women motivated to come home to themselves after years of being somebody’s somebody.

What to Know About Me. Why I Do This Work.

I started Your Chapter Next because I wanted to create a place and space for women like me. Women who find themselves starting over at a time when many would say it’s unwise… at your age.

The original vision came to me a few months before my separation. I woke at 3:00 am drenched in fear about my future. I’d pictured myself as a free woman, but in that moment, panic. How would I support myself? Where would I go? Uncharacteristicly, I looked up and asked for help. In no more than a minute’s time, the 6-month bridge program was “downloaded.” That’s not normal for me, so I paid attention.

After we separated I was determined to get real with myself. To look under the hood of what was driving me in relationship, especially my insecurities. I committed to a full year of self-reflection, journaled every morning, read a lot, and shed many tears.

I was unwavering in my quest to get to a place where I liked my life, with or without a partner. This is what I’m offering to you. I know it’s not for everyone. It’s for those who feel similarly motivated to free themselves from the need for the other.

I don’t say it’s always easy.

Sure, there were difficult days, including the mornings when I woke into a rolling fear wave, and the moments when I can still feel the relative solitude that is my life now. But these moments always pass.

A few years after the separation and divorce, I wrote this in my journal: “What if I AM Okay on my Own?” It was a strange sensation, one that arose from deep within. I suspect it’s a normal fear – what if you ARE okay on your own?

Our work together lives at the intersection of the spiritual and the practical.

Who you are underneath the shoulds. How you relate to yourself. And how you navigate the real-world stuff, like money, when everything has shifted. The specifics of how we work together depends on where you are in your own process, because no two women arrive at this moment the same way.

The entry point is always a conversation. Not a commitment, a conversation.

Is this what you want for yourself, too? Let’s talk.
